In August 2015 this collar was replaced by a new unit. The next collaring session (to replace collar number three) was scheduled for September 2017 but an accident early during the collaring session prevented this. Currently her collar is set to an interval of eight hours to save batteries until we can arrange a follow up collaring operation.
Ginting and her family group are most likely closely related to the females of Anna’s herd. Since 2014, both families have spent much of their time together, often forming a larger clan that roams together.
By adopting Ginting today, you are helping fund our activities to protect her and her friends from the threats they face. You will receive regular updates on their progress as they are cared for in our facilities, with the hope of eventually returing to the jungle.
Depending on the adoption package you purchase you will receive
an adoption pack for yourself or your loved ones.
